Ron joined Community Housing Innovations in March 2021 to serve as the second Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director in the organization’s 30-year history, after founding ED/CEO Alec Roberts. With a personal mission and passion to strengthen individuals and families and move them from poverty to self-sufficiency, Ron Abad has more than 25 years of executive-level leadership in government and nonprofit organizations in the fields of homeless shelters, supportive housing, and community-based health care.

Previously, Ron served as the Senior Vice President for Acacia Network Housing, one of New York City’s largest homeless providers, serving 2,250 homeless families and 2,000 single adults. He oversaw a broad network of homeless shelters, with a mandate to provide and support every individual and family with transitional housing and supportive services like primary care and behavioral health.

Before that, Ron was Chief Operating Officer of Urban Pathways, providing street outreach, safe havens, and supportive housing to homeless individuals. He oversaw programs, supportive housing development, operations, facilities/property management, low-income housing tax credit compliance, HR, information technology, budget/contract management, and risk/crisis oversight. Read full bio HERE.


Jirandy Martinez is the Executive Director of the Community Resource Center. Community Resource Center (CRC) is a nonprofit community-based organization empowering immigrant and low-income families by providing the resources and advocacy to help them become self-reliant and thriving members of the community.

Jirandy has been with the organization since 2008 when she began as an ESL volunteer teacher and has grown with the organization over the last decade of its exponential growth from a Programs Coordinator to Programs Director and now as its leader providing innovative community-centered vision. Now in its 25th anniversary, Jirandy is proud to be a part of the Center’s history first designed as a referral service organization to one that now provides comprehensive direct client social and legal immigration services; educational programs for children, youth, and adults; workforce development and job readiness training; immigrant, workers’ rights, and housing advocacy as well as community organizing.

As a native Mamaroneck resident and the daughter of hard-working Colombian immigrants, Jirandy developed a deep passion for social justice and immigrant rights at a young age. Maurice K. Segall, Director, New York and Fairfield County, CT, Program (New York Office), has been with the Partnership for over 24 years. He provides direct legal services to nonprofit groups, coordinates and supervises the work of staff and volunteer attorneys, and frequently lectures on legal issues for nonprofits and attorneys.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Nonprofit Association of Westchester (NPW), and is Chair of the NPW Governance Committee. He also serves on the Advisory Boards of Family and Children’s Agency (FCA) and Circle of Care for Children with Cancer. He previously served on the Advisory Board for the Fairfield County’s Community Foundation Center for Nonprofit Excellence, and on the Board of Directors of several other nonprofits including the FCA, Wilton Library, Connecticut Consortium for Law and Citizenship Education, Connecticut Legal Services, and Curtain Call. He was the founder of the Fairfield County Bar Association High School Mock Trial Competition, overseeing that program for 30 years. He is a recipient of the Liberty Bell Award from the Stamford/Norwalk Regional Bar for outstanding community service, the first practicing attorney ever to receive this honor.

Maurice is admitted to the bar in New York and Connecticut. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware and Albany Law School of Union University


Rob Cordero is a Partner who specializes in auditing and business consulting. He is the founder and leader of the Independent School practice for the Firm. He is experienced in advising several types of organizations including private schools, private foundations, and other fee-for-service not-for-profits including national and international organizations. Rob is a frequent lecturer and presents continuing professional education courses to members of the Firm’s staff. He has authored numerous accounting articles and is a member of the Firm’s Governance Committee.

He is equally an active volunteer and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for several not-for-profit organizations.

Rob is a graduate of Iona College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.


Judith immigrated to the United States from Jamaica, West Indies, at age seven and settled in White Plains. Upon graduation from White Plains High School, she joined the United States Army touring on active duty for three years, stationed on Ford Island in Hawaii. She then joined the Army Reserves, where she served actively for seven years, ultimately achieving the rank of Sergeant E-5.

Judith credits her disciplined nature, work ethic, desire to serve and help others, and interest in nursing to the time spent in the United States Army.

Judith earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Registered Nursing from Pace University and a Master's Degree in Public Health from New York Medical College.

Her nursing career began with the Greenburgh Health Center (now WCHC Greenburgh) in 1994, which merged into the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center in 2005, and she has been employed with the Center for a combined 27-plus years. Read full bio HERE.
